One More Day re!

Posted on July 13th, 2004 by Poonam

Hey — that rhymes!!! :rotfl: I am talking about my title  Kal main ghar jaa rahi hoon!!! Whoo hoo!! I am excited. I like Chicago, don’t get me wrong, but nothing is like home. Traffic here sucks!! People drive jaise unka baap ka road hai :irked:

Today, I was getting off the train aur mere ko Bombay (I use Bombay & Mumbai interchangeably ) ki yaad aa gayi:sad: Pata hai kyon? Just like at Charni Road station, you have to take the stairs to go from one platform and another and here it is the same. So I was going up the steps and I just wished I was in Bombay. The feeling was some what the same due to the rush of the people. Then I began to think about how hot the weather is in India. Then about life in India. Maine aakhir main yeh socha ke tumhare paas paisa hai India main — toh aaisho aaram se rahe sakte ho. Bas yeh mausam ka problem hai wahan par. Thoda thanda mausam rehta Mumbai main toh it would be a paradise place

Can you believe it…I thought about ALL of that while I was going up the stairs!! Neeraj and I have decided for the future that we would stay in the US for a couple of years, make some money, and then go back and settle in India. I don’t mind living in India (I wish I could go for a longer period than 3 months to find out the real life there) but I am a little indecisive on what I would need.

Do I need a gaadi or AC or the other luxuries I have here? Will it be worth it to live in a 3rd world country (its growing yes, but its still 3rd world ) and be that far away from my immediate family (my parents and brother won’t be moving from the US any time soon)? The other half of me says: you have Neeraj, what else do you want? That’s very true and that’s all that I have wanted for the last four years is to be near Neeraj.

Oh geez louise. :banghead: Well, for now, I will stay happy with the idea that aaj mere ko Amchi Mumbai ki yaad aayi  Aur kal main ghar jaa rahi hoon to see my parents and to bug my brother

Ab thoda saa kaam phir Neeraj se baat…. din toh aaise nikal raha hai jaise speeding bullet nikalta hai

Alvida and Jai Mata Di.

Bombay is Paradise coz its not cold there, and you want it to be a little more cold. No No No, thats the best part about bombay and even in winter, you dont need extra clothing :rotfl:

It might be difficult for you to settle in bombay coz you’ve lived your life in the US, lekin once you settle there, nothing like it :duck:

Why do you say it would be difficult because I settled in US? Kya different hoga? Chicago main bhi wohi rush hai..wohi jald baazi..waisi hi lifestyle hai. Aur pata hai, I think it would be easy for me to settle and that’s because of toleration. If you can tolerate about how life works in India then tum kahin bhi rahe sakte ho. Waise if India main rahe…main yeh nahi jaanti hoon if Bombay mera first choice ho…i think bangalore would be my first choice:razz: Silicon Valley of the East

Really?? You wanna stay in Bombay oops B’lore? Not that i have ever been there, lekin……….. Hmmm !!

I think so. Neeraj loved Bangalore. The weather, the atmosphere (much more peaceful than B’bay as you can imagine ) Once I was talking about the weather of b’bay…it gets hot, man. Aur bhaisaab - thandi toh wahan hoti hi NAHI hai. Aur jo thodi bahut hoti hai…usko thandi nahi kehte  So we will see. I want to visit Bangalore before to see what its like. I even liked Jaipur and wouldn’t mind settling there (but I know no job prospects there). So Bangalore then would be the better choice.

Do not worry Poonam, we will settle down in either B’lore or B’bay. I found B’lore much better than B’bay in terms of settling down. But B’bay is having much better places to chill out and B’lore is having nothing except bars and wind shops:smile: Jaipur is also a good place to live but it’s not so developed like B’lore or B’bay but I wish It would have been just like them. A plus about Jaipur is the people out there are really nice.
