Update in Life!

Weekend was a nice and relaxing one. The Indo-American Society of Peoria was holding an India Festival at the Riverfront. The whole family joined by Prasad and Kavita went to see the festivities. I haven’t mentioned it but Kavita is a very well-known singer in India. Her full name: Kavita Murthy Deshpande. No, not Kavita Krishnamurthy, just Murthy. Anyway, so she is a very close friend of ours and she was requested to sing at the India Fest. Her voice is so elegant, and she sings so well. She can sound just like Lata Mangeshkar, as well as Noor Jehan and Shamshad Begum. She has some major talent. She does many shows here in the US, London, and India.

The India Fest overall was just fine. I saw B again because her father was organizing the cultural program. There were some stalls by the two or three different Indian restaurants in town as well as some artifacts’ stalls, and the new Indian store also had a stall. Mumma wanted to get mehndi done and B’s sister-in-law was in charge of that (free of cost).

Then Prasad & Kavita came home for some chai (tea) and we played Judgement again. This time, we called Brijesh for the rules. Then we played Bluff. I, unfortunately, lost. I guess I am not a good bluffer

Talked to Neeraj last night. He had a job interview today with Sapient. Then he came online after he was done there and we talked on the Internet at 6 am this morning CST!

Now will be going back to Chicago around 5 pm today. I don’t want to go. I just don’t want to drive by myself! I wish Neeraj was with me because I know the time would go by much faster. Oh well, no choice.
