Current Tune: Jana Gana Mana
Hamare Priye Bharat,
Aapko aapki 58th varshgandh (birthday) par hardik badhaai aur shubh kaamnaayein! Humein Bharatiyaa hone par garv hai kyon ke aapne is dharti par ek alag pehchaan banaayi hai jo aur sab deshon ke liye ek misaal hai. Thode samay main hi aapne viksit (developed) deshon ki soochi (list) main apna naam judvaa liya hai.
Jahan aapne ek taraf apni arthvyavastha (economy) itna sudhrad bana liye hai wahin doosri taraf apne sainikbal (military) main majbooti haasil ki hai. Safalta ki charamseemaon ko paane ke saath saath aapne apni gauravshaali sanskriti ko bhi jeevit banaaye rakha hai.
Maine aapke yahan ek shresth shikshaa (education) prapt kiye hai jo kissi doosre desh main nahi mil sakta aur jiske liye main aapka kratagya rahunga. Hamare parivar ko aapne ek surakshit, susanskrat mahaul pradhaan kiya hai jis mein rehte hui naa kaval khushiyaan mili hain balki unnati ke avsar mile hain.
Hum kaamana karte hain ki aap din dugni raat chauguni vradhi karo aur apna naam is duniya main aur roshan karo!
Aapke Shubh Chintak,
Neeraj aur Poonam
Happy Independence Day you too :)
And I loved the way you guys put in the english word for the “tough” hindi words …:rotfl:
Hmm, tough hindi words.
Happy independence day. I think, if our government would have spent at least 5% of their defence expenditure, Indian’s would have made some achievement at olympics. Have to see, when this will happen.
[Rash] Swatantratra Divas Mubarak ho tere ko bhi!
First, Neeraj aur maine socha ke hum end main “Glossary” section rakhenge..kyon ke humko maloom tha ke tum log nahi samaj paogai!
Par socha ke nahi…jo thode hard words hai..woh hum just likh denge.
[Govind] Thanks for stopping by! Aate rehna.
Swatantrata Divas mubarak ho tumko bhi!
Dekho, tough words toh hai but we wanted to use shudh Hindi to get our meaning across. We didn’t even HAVE to use Hindi, but we WANTED to use it. We felt these words that we used were the best way to express our thoughts and feelings for today.
As for your defense expenditures comment, I don’t have much knowledge of it and I really do hope that Neeraj comments on it because he def must have some background with it. I hope that India does well at the Olympics this year!
Happy belated I-day… waise, isn’t it 57th I-day?? 2004-1947-57 :???:
Olympics.. hahaha.. Indian hockey team lost yes’day… Anjali Bhagwat. didn’t make to the finals even… Only hope left is our Leander & Bhupati..
Swatantrata Divas Mubarak Ho Manpreet!
57-58 ka confusion apun ke dimaag main bhi tha..par Neeraj insisted that its 58.
Haan haan..bechara us par hi blame kar diya!
Actually apun ko laga ke 57 years khatam ho gaye…and 58 shuru.
Waise Olympics main toh abhi bahut saare participants rahe gaye hain India se…what about Anju George?? Mnay track-n-field stars as well as weightlifters.
Yes it is 58th I-day. Check this link: http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/001200408151802.htm . Indian hockey team was never in the line of medals. Paes and bhupati can win something. Otherwise there will be a new comer who will be winning a medal. That’s all I can predict.
Zabardast neeru.
Haan toh phir toh 58th hi hai aur tum bilkul sahi.
Koi na koi toh jeete…is main hi bahut khushi hogi. Mere ko maloom hai ke tumhe nahi lagta ke Anju George win hogi..par phir bhi main hope kar rahi hoon ke usko koi bhi ek medal mile.
I also that you are right — ke some newcomer wins this year!!
