Veer Zaara Music is Released

Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta

Just downloaded all of the songs from the new Yash Chopra movie, Veer Zaara.

Songs are absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended. There is a Punjabi song (of course ) by Gurdas Mann, Lodi. I was definitely dancing when I first heard this song. Also a qawaali which is enjoyable to listen.

Songs are all composed by Late Madan Mohan and most of the songs are sung by Lata Mangeshkar. One of my favs is Tere Liye. Beautiful song with very sentimental lyrics.

Veer Zaara will be starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukherjee. It will be releasing on Diwali. Can’t say how the movie will be, but let’s hope its good.

5 Stars from me on music.

Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

Maine computer sell kar diya coz only 20 days left. Should download on Vinod’s lappy ya fir work par try karta hoon

  2. Poonam Says:
Yep, I really liked them. Nice sentimental melodious songs. There is 11 songs with only 9 in the movie. First time in a long time I can say that I liked all 11 songs.

So me quite happy about that.

  3. Abhishek Says:

where did u download the songs from???

  4. sreetama Says:

hi! Poonam. your blog is very nice. and i am your new friend. this film will be ofcourse nice because they are my best film stars except rani mukherjee.:duck::wave::hyper::razz::wink:

  5. Ankur Raheja Says:

One thing is really amazing about this film, a dead man composed music  :faint:

  6. Poonam Says:
Abhi, I use a p2p software called Ares Lite, and I found all the songs there. I wrote a whole post on it and you can read it right here.

Its a great software, and the best part is that there are no pop-up ads.

Thanks for your kind words Sreetama. I am glad that you are our new friend. You don’t like Rani Mukherjee, but why? Did you hear that Govinda has recently moved in with her in her Versova flat? Weird.

Anyway, keep coming back to the site.

I read your comment Ankur the first time, and I was laughing. :rotfl: It sounds so funny. Anyway, prior to Madan Mohan’s death, he had composed some music that he had basically put away. Now his sons have decided to revive the memories of their father.

I am very educated about these manners.

  7. Ankur Raheja Says:

I think ‘Ares Lite’ is almost same as ‘Kazaa Lite’ or is there any difference :?:

The above comment was the first thing that came in my mind, when I heard about the Music composer. :rotfl:

I tried about going deep into it but no success… thanks for the detail

But I was not very much wrong, a SPIRIT can compose music…. as nothing is impossible

  8. Poonam Says:
I think Ares Lite is much better than Kazaa all together, Lite or no Lite. But that’s my personal opinion. Only because there is no ads, and its quick.

Its true Ankur, nothing is impossible. Like the spirit of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan still lives on. I think he had two albums come out after his death.

Anyway, check out the music. I really liked it.

  9. Ankur Raheja Says:

Seems you have experienced Kazaa Heavy only and not lite

Lite version is quick n without ads and is similar to Aries Lite. If you want the Kazaa lite version, let me know, I will email you..

  10. Poonam Says:
Thanks Ankur for the generous offer, but I am happy with Ares. One P2P software is enough for my lowly Windows 98 desktop PC.
  11. Abhishek Says:

um… no offence intended but just a question for curiosity’s sake… isn’t it illegal to download copyright music from P2P networks:?::?::?:

  12. Poonam Says:
Yes Abhi, its a risk you are taking. They have started to catch people who are using Kazaa but then again the number of people that use it has not gone down. So that tells you something.

It is illegal and its at your own risk that you are using it.

    Hope that helps.

  13. Sushubh Says:

my simple philosphy is, if you appreciate a singer. you support them by buying original CDs/Cassettes. I do that most of the time and in the process ended up buying Sting’s Sacred Love for 400 bucks. Hurt like hell, but I am a proud owner :D

  14. Abhishek Says:

    um… i haven’t downloaded anything yet… i think i will buy the cd’s after they release it here…

  15. Poonam Says:
Yup Sushubh agreed. I do that at times but its hard because I don’t have a place other than Chicago (which is three hours by car) to get a Hindi cassette/CD. So then I just download them now, and whenever I am in Chicago, I buy the cassettes (so I can listen in my car).

So I do it out of convenience more than anything else. Otherwise I would have to wait FOREVER to hear the songs.

The music has been released Abhi, I think you should be able to buy it now.

  16. Sushubh Says:

Oi. Amazon do not sell Indian Music? They are loosing out on big stuff

  17. Poonam Says:
Not that I know of and if they are, its most likely expensive + shipping.
  18. Mona Says:

Agree agree …. wow I love the songs !!! although I am still in Dhoom mood :P but the songs are just awesome, I also can’t wait for watching the movie :) Maybe I will buy Veer Zaara CD because last time I saw it in the store, there is a bonus about how they make the song clips :hyper:

  19. Poonam Says:
You are still in Dhoom mood, Mona? What songs did you like in that movie other than the title track and the remixed version of the title track? Let me know, I will have to listen.

Really?? There is a bonus with the CD for Veer Zaara. Wow — gosh its a good reason to buy.

  20. gremlin Says:

Security Engineer downloading songs illegally.. tauba tauba..

  21. Poonam Says:
Arre yaar Gremlin…tumne toh mere ko sochne ke liye majboor kar diya.

    :rotfl:

  22. Deepak Jeswal Says:
