Good News, Yum, and Plans
Neeraj is sleeping at this time so I can’t wake him up with the news. So here I am posting it prior to telling him.
I have bought my India tickets. I am flying out on 24 December, 2004 and will be returning back to the USA on 17th January. It should be a fun time, right Neeraj?
I can’t wait to see him!
Toh Neeraj, my love, aaj ka ek tension aur tumhari itne dino ki khwaish poori kar dee aaj maine.
I will be sending my check into Bestway Tours, the travel agency that I bought the ticket from, and hopefully will be receiving my ticket very soon.
Many other things that are on my mind that I need to clarify. One is the fiancee/spouse visa that I am still going back and forth on. I want to make a decision on that soon as well. Still doing research and posting my questions on sites such as Immigration Watch, Visa Pro, and Visa Journey.
Another thing is what we are going to do about living conditions after Neeraj comes to the USA.
We need to figure out where we are going to live, if I am going to transfer offices (because I don’t want to travel after marriage ), and where Neeraj is going to do his job hunting. Many decisions to be made but very soon everything will be put in place.
So I have been telling Mumma that I want to make this dessert that I had once with my friends Beth and Diane. I didn’t know the name of it but it had to do with cake mix as a base and making layers of vanilla pudding, chocolate chips, and whipping cream. Today I made it.
Prasad and Kavita came by today as they were going to drive to New York (Kavita is leaving for India on Sunday from NY). They tasted my dessert and loved it! Yipee! My dessert was a success!
If there is enough interest, I will post the recipe. Someday Neeraj will get to taste my lovely dessert!
Don’t worry, its a good thing.
We are having a get together for many of the Indian guys (and one or two gals
) who go to my brother’s and my alma matar, Bradley, over for an evening dinner on Sunday. It should be a fun time.
It will be the last get together prior to my parents leaving for India on the 22nd November. Those Indian guys have a hard time with cooking so we have them over at our place so they get a decent meal.
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

Ahh… Great Congrats!!!
But I thought that you guys were gonna settle in India, never mind, me and my wandering mind…
BTW wat happens to this blog after u guys get married < - just curious…
November 5th, 2004 at 11:24 pm
The plan is to stay in USA for some time, get our MBA, and then we will go back to India. We want to be financially stable prior to settling in India.
After marriage the blog will be alive till atleast June 2005 (that’s when the domain contract is up
). At that time Neeraj and I will evaluate if we are able to devote time and keep the blog or not (most likely we will keep it
).

So its all of your friends that have taken all the seats.
Yep December is usually the peak season for everyone to go home. I have gone for past two years and never have I paid more than $1200. This is the first time. It seems that the demand is up from last year.
Ghar ka khana ki sahi baat hai. I am happy that I am with my family. Not only because of the food but for the company as well. I love being around my parents and brother..so its great. I never missed dorm life..and even now I don’t miss living on my own. When I was traveling due to my job, I would call my parents so many times during the night time because I would be missing watching TV with them. So its great!
There is a good change that the blog will not go down Ankur. It just depends on how active we are in June 2005.
So let’s hope for the best!
Rashu my dear, you sound just like Neeraj about the future. Sometimes I think I do worry too much. Will try to concentrate on the present.
Thanks dost!
Haan tu mera dessert chak ke dekhna..tune mere ko pass kar diya toh phir Neeraj ke saath try karenge.
Arre tu aa jaa hamare ghar kabhi bhi dost. Thanksgiving main aa jaa re…its just going to be me and my bro..parents will be in india.
We try to do as much as we can for those desi guys/gals from India (because just like you, they are away from their family so we try to be their family
) and now they are just like my brothers. Seriously, we play Judgement and all together..so its fun!

Death By Chocolate
sunkar muh me pani agaya
you get amazing “Death By Chocolate” and also “mission impossible ” at five spice my Favorite place for desert in mumbai
Poonam my challenge if incase if you ever visit that place try finishing ?mission impossible ? all by yourself
no one can !
November 7th, 2004 at 11:23 am
So wait two questions,
Neeraj and I will definitely try to go and will try to take on your challenge.
Dekhte hain shayad kar bhi sakhu..yaa phir Neeraj kar sakhe.
We will go when we are really hungry.
Thanks for the suggestion!
November 7th, 2004 at 12:34 pm
Mission Impossible is Chocolate dessert? Yes
Five spice : its in South mumbai when coming from VT side is in lane back of RBI Bank, near asiatic library
even when your really hungry still i am sure no one can finish the challenge void if you just eat dessert
its lunch or dinner + (mission impossible dessert )
November 7th, 2004 at 4:59 pm
I know the VT area so definitely know where you are talking about. Will let you know the result.
November 8th, 2004 at 1:36 am
wowwwwwwwwww I am so happy for you
it’s really a good news and I am sure that Neeraj will be very happy
It’s really matched with what you want, isn’t it ? That’s really great
About spouse visa … hmm yeah it’s kinda annoying and complicated. Did I tell you that I gonna move to Australia, hopefully next year ?
so he needs to make another separate application. At the moment, we are still waiting for the process
At the moment, I am waiting for Suhadi’s visa. I got the Australian permanent resident, when I got married with Suhadi, he didn’t automatically got the visa
wowww that’s really cool, hmmmm I want to try the dessert too and don’t forget to post the recipe
hahaha the weekend sounds great, I believe those guys enjoyed the time and food hahaha

November 8th, 2004 at 8:26 am
hey Kunal
nice pic i feel like going and having one right now
lol
Poonam do you still stick with the bet after seeing that
hehehehe
November 8th, 2004 at 9:48 am
Noooooo. I didn’t know that you were moving to Australia!!! So are you going to be working out of the Australia office for Accenture?? How wonderful!!!
Good for you! Let me know how it goes. You already got your permanent residency that’s just awesome. I hope that Suhadi gets his visa ASAP too! This visa stuff is a definite hassle. Hoping just the very best for you both!
I will post the recipe and you should definitely make it Mona. I think you and Suhadi will love it!
We did have a wonderful time with the Indian guys yesterday. They are always such a nice and fun bunch. There were ten of us, my parents including, playing cards last night (yup we played Judgement
). It was great! Many were cheating and had alliances.
I think someone made up the name, Ankur. I was looking up recipes on Google and that’s where I found it. I think its called that because there is too much chocolate.
Five Spice is a Chinese place??? Aargh.
I am not really into Chinese, I don’t think Neeraj is either.
Kunal, it looked very yummy.
I think it could be handled Kunal & Puneet, but only because I don’t really like Chinese so I wouldn’t have much for lunch or dinner, whichever we went for.
The bet is on!
