Saas n’ Sasur and Snow…
Extremely interesting last few days. Here is a recap:
Then Lalit Mama introduced Neeraj to the family as my fiancee.
Very nice na?
Then my parents get outside to meet everyone at 1.30 am. Neeraj then met with them and talked to them. He said that they were very sweet with him and he just loved them.
Both parents talked to him about how he was, what they thought about meeting his family, and how his family was, etc… Papa then told Neeraj that they are going to be in Mumbai for one day (Wednesday) so he should come over tomorrow. Neeraj agreed and he went to their home on Wednesday.
Neeraj gets to my nani’s house at around 9 pm coming straight from the office. There he ate and enjoyed with my parents.
They talked about how to get to Jaipur and then to Hindaun after I come in December. At first my parents were discussing about going once prior to meet his parents before I came, but then Neeraj explained that there is no need for that. The reason my parents wanted to do that is so that they are ensured that the relationship is pakka, but Neeraj said to them that his family has accepted and that they should not worry about that at all, and it would be best to go when I come. Then Neeraj had dinner with them, enjoyed with my little cousins, and talking in general with my parents. He came home after midnight.
So its been a fun few days for Neeraj interacting with his saas and sasur.
I asked him how my parents reacted with him and he said that they were so nice and sweet. I was so happy to hear that everyone is getting along so well.
Its all of your good wishes that we have received that made this all happen so perfectly.
Thanks alot! Neeraj and I really appreciate all of the support from everyone!
So yesterday it snowed 7-8 inches here in Morton.
I took some photos this morning and you can check it out in Our Photos by clicking on the Random Photos album.
It was only predicted to snow about 4 inches but because thunderstorms developed, more snow also developed causing it to increase to 7 inches.
Suraj and I had to return the rental car that I had rented to take my parents to the airport on Monday, and usually to get to the Peoria Airport, it take 2o mins but it took us 2 hours!
Do you know how many cars we saw in the ditch or in accidents? More than 25 cars!!!!! Most of them were SUVs or vans, so what does that tell you?
Four wheel drive doesn’t mean that you can drive fast.
Now we are headed to my bhayia/bhabhi’s place in Chicago for the long Thanksgiving weekend. We will be back home on Saturday night.
Enjoy the rest of the week!
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

This was a love marriage? Your friend and this Bhatia? He was grilled on the day of the engagement??
Bechara.
Neeraj has been grilled. Once when he met my Mama in July/August and then just recently when he met my parents.
Thanks for your very kind words Kunal. Neeraj and I really appreciate all of the good words we receive from everyone — it really does help in building that confidence that yes, anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
