Season of Engagements…
Aaah…nice to be home.
After spending half the day yesterday traveling, it sure does feel nice to be home for two days.
It will be nice to spend some time with Mumma this weekend and to find out about what happened after I had left India. Nice to see all goodies that she has brought too.
So was talking to my best friend Beth on AOL Instant Messenger two nights ago and found out some amazing news. When I was in school, I had a circle of friends of about six girls. We were pretty much inseparable until 7th grade where we changed schools which caused us to all make new friends even though we were in the same school. As the years passed into high school, we all stayed in touch (sometimes more with few than others), but it wasn’t the same as before as the circle changed due to the activities we were in.
Diane was the first in our group to get married almost two years ago and that’s maybe the last time I saw Megan and Trisha from the group. I stay most in touch with Beth and Diane.
Just around Valentine’s Day of this year, there were three engagement announcments, all from my group. Megan, Trisha, and Darla all got engaged in the same week! Kinda weird and a coincidence, isn’t it??
Anyway, Megan we had a feeling was going to pretty soon but Trisha and Darla were a bit of surprise. They are all graduating from college this May (yes I am a year ahead of them but its only because I graduated early from high school
), and getting married in the summer or fall.
So whose left to get married in my group? Beth and me.
Beth is going on to get her Master’s degree, so she will stay busy. Now there was one. **hint hint**nudge nudge**
I know Neeraj its not in your hands, but gosh, let’s hope that we can make an announcement too soon.
With that note, I had received a Notice of Action in the mail that the Immigration people have received all of my documents for Neeraj’s visa, but processing can take anywhere from 150-180 days.
Let’s hope its sooner than later.
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.
