Little Aastha is missing. Shaguna, the bai (maid), who also takes care of Aastha and during the time of the kidnapping she was the only one with her. Shaguna was accompanying Aastha’s parents to London as they attended Aastha’s Mama’s wedding. With this being her first time abroad, Shaguna is very intrigued by everything around her and wants to be able to go back to India and tell everyone what she saw. As she is out with Aastha’s parents, Simran & Abhimanyu, to a shopping area, they decide to go get some food quickly for everyone while Shaguna watches Aastha nearby. As they wait for Simran and Abhimanyu to return with the food, Shaguna sees a street performer and strolls Aastha towards that area. Wanting to get a closer glimpse of the performer, she leaves the stroller for what seems like a minute, only to return to a missing Aastha. In that short time, a young women was able to kidnap Aastha and disappear.
Soon Shaguna returns and takes the stroller, without looking, towards the main shopping area. Simran and Abhimanyu are back with the food and as Simran goes to pick up Aastha, she notices that she is not there. Where did she go? Becoming hysterical with the loss of her child, Simran asks repeatedly to Shaguna what happened. They began an all wide search asking every person they come in contact with to see if they had seen Aastha. With no luck, they ran into two Sardar police and found out where the police station was located.
Filing a missing person’s report at the police station, Simran and Abhimanyu are still not satified. They go out again that night to look for Aastha. No luck. 
Where could she have gone? 
10 days pass. Sab pareshaan. Ab kya kare? They are not able to stay in London forever because they have very reputable jobs in India. Simran is adamant that she won’t leave unless its with Aastha, but Abhimanyu explains to her that its necessary as there are others waiting for her guidance back home. Kaise na kaise karke Simran ko wapas leh jaate hain to India.
She can’t sleep. He can’t sleep. Shaguna can’t sleep. They keep crying. Shaguna blames herself for the pain that she is caused Simran. In the night, Shaguna tries to kill herself by drinking poison. The next morning, Simran’s sister finds Shaguna laying unconscious in the kitchen. Calling Simran to come quick and soon they take Shaguna to the hospital.
Does Shaguna die? Who was the mysterious woman who took Aastha in broad daylight? Why would anyone be interested in a child that is not there or even related to them?
Intrigued? 
Should be. Its what’s happening in my favourite serial, Astitva: Ek Prem Katha . 
See even serials can be quite interesting. 
Its no Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, but its one that keeps Mumma and me glued to the TV from Monday to Wednesday nights at 7.30 pm. Its a good thing that Mumma is taping it for me until I am in Manchester (can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow! 
).
Let me know if anyone wants to know what happens with Aastha and Shaguna.

Yes please! I agree it sounds very interesting. As i was reading it i thought that perhaps it was a news headline that you had read about. Then as i continued reading i thought it was perhaps some sort of riddle that had to be solved. Its not a riddle but its certainly intersting. So please keep us informed as to what happens next on the show

Hello,there,Poonam..I do watch the serial on and off(But,more regularly than other serials)…it seems u’re running pretty much behind in the episodes out there.Here,they’re showing the next generation,with Aastha being a chirpy young college goer.:)

Waise, my mum watches this serial regularly… loves it … from 8 to 11, she is glued to the television set :P
u know used to see this serial everyday till i had dish at my place but then humne katwa deeya…and i used to hate thursdays kyunki tabhee ye sun-wed aata tha…
anyway,maine waheen tak dekha tha when abhee starts sleeping with that model and moves in with her and how that female is given some modelling proposal by some big shot…
so abhee and simran are back….hmm…and what happened with dr.manas????poonam..tu kitnee sweeeeet hai…

No not again!!. In south india, there are some serials which are famous as well. When these serials come up. I cant touch the TV remote at home. :D
Dont watch them, they somehow manage to twist the story every other week. :D

If I would have said that this is what is happening in Astitva, half of the guys would have not read it.

Tune toh kaafi pehle dekha tha when Abhimanyu was with Kiran. Ab toh woh khatam ho jaata hai, he leaves her, leaves Mumbai, starts a new life in Nasik as “Musafir”, a writer for a newspaper who helps bring day to day life in India through his writing. Anyway, he matures, gets recognition, runs into Simran, and then is brought back to Mumbai. You will get bored if I keep telling you more. 
Anyway, Abhi and Simran are still separated but they are now very good friends with a good understanding.
Dr. Manas and Simran are not friends anymore because there was a case that they were involved in to help Urmila get out of jail, but what happens is that Manas starts falling for the lawyer, Riya. So Simran doesn’t approve, and I missed how their friendship had a falling because at that time I was in India.
