Meet in the Middle
Neeraj my love — yeh tumhare liye — hamesha mere saare sapne poore kiye hain tumne
…beethe dino ki yaad satati hai, mann ghabraata hai rahe rahe ke…
meri tanhayi tujhko bulaati hai, haar gaya ghum sahe sahe ke…
koi mujhe behelaaya naa, tere bina jeeya jaaye naa…har dhadkan main pyaas hai teri, aaise main durr main kaise rahu,
tujhe bina dil ka alam kaisa hai, tujhe se bhalaa kaise kahu..
koi tujhe samjhaaye naa, tere binaaa jeeya jaaye naachain mujhe ab aaye naa, tere bina jeeya jaaye naa…
sili sili pyaasi rehna, aakhein begaa de naina
chain mujhe ab aaye naa, tere bina jeeya jaaye naa~ Adnan Sami
Sometimes you take steps in life where you know that you are not going to please everyone, but then what should one do? Listen to your heart or listen to your mind? In many cases in my life, I listen to my heart. After making the decision, I might regret it in the beginning because I think that someone might not approve of it if they found out but then as time goes by, I tell myself that at times its necessary to live for myself and do what I want to do.
NP.com has a new motto - Meet in the Middle. Naa is taraf naa uss taraf, bas beech main. Just recently, we have done many things in which we have met in the middle, and we have now made it a philosophy.
I know that neither of us have posted and a few of you have even called us to find our mobiles switched off, but now the important thing is that we are back Sometimes its necessary to get away from the real world and enter the world of sapne (dreams). Aaise hi soch lo ke hum ek hafte ke liye sapne ki duniya main ghoom phir rahe the. Because I was only on the Internet for a max of 15 mins each day, I didn’t have time to write a post or comment on any blogs — but my frequency will increase from now onwards to normalcy.
My project in Manchester is for now done. I started this post while on the plane back to Chicago so I wouldn’t have to write it last night, but because I was so tired, I didn’t even post it till this morning. Its nice to be home, but this last week has been so relaxing and fun, kabhi kabhi lagta hai ke sapne ki duniya main hi ghar basaa lena chaiye jahan koi tension nahi aur koi chinta nahi.
Have watched the limit of movies this past week:
Swades Aitraaz Kaun? Veer Zaara Bewafaa Dhoom Samay Kal Ho Naa Ho Khaata Meetha Angoor Khakee Murder Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum Dil Chahta Hai Yuva Aan Hum Tum
How did this happen? Well you just have to be in the mood, and I was definitely in the mood.
Found a shop that was selling these movies in combos (2 movies in one DVD) for $3. Good deal eh?
Quality is great; one or two of them have sound problems, but otherwise not bad at all for 3 bucks.
So I think that I have caught up in the movie scene — really there isn’t any movie that I want to see that is out there — not even Black. I don’t know why, but it didn’t appeal to me. Funny enough, it doesn’t appeal to Neeraj either. Wakai main shayad we are the made for each other types.
Khair — now need to get down to business. I did receive the Second Notice of Action from the Immigration people for Neeraj’s visa.
There are a few documents that I need to send to him and photos that we took together. So this week will be busy in preparing for that to ensure that he has everything. Still expecting an interview call in May sometime, so its necessary that he has all the papers and is 100% prepared.
Neeraj is going to start his driving classes sometime in the next week which should be good.
He is going to apply for an international driver’s license once he is done with the course. That should definitely be helpful when he comes to the USA.
His sister’s saala (bro-in-law) whose name is also Neeraj is getting married on 17th May in Sawai Madhopur. Neeraj is definitely thinking about going so have told him to check out the flights/train tickets because he doesn’t have many holidays from the office, he will only going for two or three days.

Chalo shuru ho jaaye case wase Manpreete.
Hum darrne wale main se nahi hai.
Swades was a pretty good film. I thought it was kind of slow in the beginning…but it definitely picked up speed as the movie went along. The realism in the movie was at times vacant, in means that you can tell that this is fictional. Many places they could have been better — but overall concept was great.
Did I like Swades more than Veer Zaara? Hmm..that’s a toss up. They both had flaws and hence both could have been better. I loved the scene in Veer Zaara when Preity and Manoj Bajpai are getting married and the qawalli is playing in the background, and then Shah Rukh Khan enters and is standing in the rain. Divya Dutta did a great job in the movie and well deserved award for Best Supporting Actress.

Its good to see youback and I sooo feel you. We do need some time to just be in our own little world of dreams.
By the way…if there are any more similarities between us I am going to think we got lost in the Kumbh ka mela or something..haha Bhushan is also going to start his driving lessons next week. 1st May he said! Only thing he is preparing so that he can buy a car and drive me around on moi trip to India! haha and shaadi on 17th May? hmm guess what day that is…our “anniversary” if you wanna call it that..haha… GOOD to see you back…Best wishes for the Visa to you and Neeraj. The interview should be a breeze! I think I will go to india and Neeraj will be gearing up to come to the US! Best wishes and loads of love!

Wow. Sushant is going to take driving classes just like Neeraj and then your anniversary is the same day that Neeraj is going to that marriage!
Just amazing of the coincidences.
Bindaas re.. tere saath sab kuch aache se hoga.

Poonam, yes.. I felt the same abt Swades… It wasn’t realistic esply in the second half where they generate electricity using turbines.. that was the weak point of the movie I felt.. Anyway, overall the movie was good… nice approach and Shah Rukh has really acted well in this movie. Its hightime he should start doing roles like this other than the lover-boy roles…
Veer Zaara too was good.. esply the Amitab and Hema Malini part was really enjoyable… I too liked Divya Dutta’s role esply her language… it was really nice.. :)
