Thank You for Your Kindness
Dear Pawan Uncle,
You have only met Neeraj and I once, but it was so memorable that we will never forget the moments we spent with you and your family. We remember that faithful day in Jan. 2002 as if it was just yesterday, when I had called you from my hotel in Lucknow. I had told you that I was Seema Chachi’s niece, and she had told me to give you a call during my stay in Lucknow, as you were her brother. You had then generously invited me over for dinner that night, and I had asked if it was okay if my friend Neeraj, who had came all the way from Kanpur to visit me, could also join. You obliged and picked us up at my hotel that evening.
I remember that you had drove us to your home, and we sat and discussed about our lives. I know that you might have felt awkward because we all were meeting for the first time, and even then I had brought Neeraj along with me. As you and Neeraj discussed about IIT and the future, I spent the time with your wife and very young daughter in the kitchen. As we spoke, I could tell that this would be a memorable experience that will ever change my life.
You and your wife spoke so sweetly to us, without even knowing us. From you, we learned what hospitality is all about. Inviting a far relative into your home, cooking a delicious meal, and spending quality time is not what all people do, only the very special ones take out their time.
Neeraj and I just want to thank you for your kindness, and the very fond memories that you have created within our hearts.
Today, you would be happy to know that Neeraj and I are engaged to be married. With warm thoughts, we think back on how you were the first relatives of mine who met Neeraj.
We would like you to know that we only had wished the very best for you, and today hope that you are resting in peace with God.
With Best Regards,
At the very tender age of 40, Pawan Uncle passed away yesterday due to a heart attack.
Neeraj and I are very shocked and saddened by the news received today, and would like to send our condelences to Aunty and their two children.
We are thinking and praying for you as you continue the journey of life.
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

I was in tears as i wrote the post Priya.
Its just sometimes amazing how you meet people in life, and even if its just a small time you spend with them, you create this lifetime bond. I haven’t even talked to Pawan Uncle and his family since that meet in Lucknow in 2002, but I have always thought about them with good thoughts. My parents just met them at my cousin’s wedding in November, and to think that he’s not even here anymore was unbearable.
