Wish I was in Mumbai…
I knew that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I was reading the Mid Day newspaper on the net today and saw the lovely pictures of my Abhishek Bachchan going to the very famous Siddhivinayak mandir in Mumbai last night.
Its nothing new to make the trek from your home to the mandir on Monday night. In fact thousands of devotees walk barefoot to the mandir in Prabhadevi, some come from as far as Dahisar and Thane (which is even farther from where Neeraj is in Powai
). I remember when I was in Mumbai this past winter, at many times on Monday night, we would see the devotees walking on the sidewalk, chanting,
Ganpati Bapa Morya!
I knew that my life should have been different, and I should be living in Mumbai with Neeraj, so that last night, we too could have made the trek from wherever our home would be to the Siddhivinayak mandir. Why? Arre mauka mil jaata Abhishek ko milne ke liye.
I would get the chance to see Abhishek of course.

The article talks about how the Bachchan family, Amitabh, Jaya, and Abhishek, amongst a convoy of dozen police officers and close friends, started the trek from their Juhu bungalow @ 1.45 am, and reached the mandir (10 km) in a mere two hours without stopping anywhere.
Now the reason for the achanak visit to the Siddhivinayak mandir? Abhishek had answered to the media that it was “personal” and didn’t want to comment on it. Here’s the speculative answer from the article:
However it is learnt that the Bachchans prayed for success in their forthcoming projects like Sarkar and Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 and personal family affairs like the marriage of Abhishek. The Big B may have also prayed for a peaceful settlement to the financial dispute with his brother Ajitabh.

Abhishek ki shaadi??
Daal main kuch kaala hai bhayia.
Lagta hai koi planning slanning chal rahi hai.
Siddhivinayak mandir is famous for fulfilling the wishes of its devotees.
NP.com wishes Abhishek Bachchan only the great things in life and a very long career in the Hindi film industry….this coming from his number 1 fan.
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

He sure has a great well deserved fan following and Abhishek is surely gonno achieve what his dad has!
But Abhishek ki shaadi???:?::shock:I wonder who the girl is:???:kahin Rani tou nahi:roll:
Abhshek surely rocks….:smile:I am looking forward to seeing the duo in Sarkar. They say that after all these yrs of acting, Amitabh has finally got the role he was born for:shock::shock:

Neeraj isn’t “known” to the rest of my extended family here in the US, and many of my cousins have taken the liberty to start googling their names or my name for “fun” or sheer boredom…..we have some high page rank in yahoo and Google, hence to ensure that our yet-to-know family members who don’t know Neeraj yet, don’t get the wrong idea abt. us, we have put up this fort of a script to ensure that we know who is entering.

i remember going to siddhivinayak temple for the first time when i was in school, with a friend… the temple was not so big and glamourous at that point of time… there was not even a proper gate/path there… but even then there was a Q of ppl to get the darshan…
Once when i had gone we saw bal thackrey and his wife finishing a pooja there…
n i remember once standing in the Q fr 1230am n the Q was stretched for almost half km ! n it was raining but not one person moved fr there…
ya Poonam u shud def go walkin in the nite… u kn on the way there are these shops/organisations who have set up temp stalls for water or tea at times… all free ofcourse… n open till dawn…
the only thing i dont like is too much crowd (i dont blame neone for that)… u just cant do darshan in peace…
hey Poonam there is this one Ganpati idol at charni road in a building on the 2nd floor near the station hv u ever noticed that ? its been there on the window since atleast 25 years n if u travel by train u will always hear a big roar of Ganpati Bapa Morya from the ppl in the train…
neways Ganpati Bapa Morya ! may he bless all of us !

June 29th, 2005 at 1:57 pm
yaay! I am also an Abhishek Bachchan fan…u know what I always think that he is getting married to Rani Mukherji..
I do not want that to happen :(
hope it is for his career and not for marriage :) lemme drool at for some more years :)
June 29th, 2005 at 11:50 pm
Yup don’t know if Abhishek will get married to Rani, Indu.
Actually in yesterday’s Mid-Day, I had read that Abhishek had gone to Badrinath, and there a guruji told him to get married with someone outside of the industry. I think something is already boiling with him…so let’s see when they will unravel the secret.
June 30th, 2005 at 12:17 am
hey Poonam, woh lamhe song.. i simply luv it… esply the tone in which he sings… but kajra re.. hmm that one for sure is cos of aish…. and as I hear that song more n more, I started luving it too.. :)
Hey, did u get a chance to see the IIFA awards that happened in Amsterdam??? The grand finale was this dance by AB, AB junior and aish… the same trio who danced in the film.. and it was amazingggg..
