Happy 4th, Meds, Travel…

I wanted to write a post yesterday but didn’t get the time. So wishing a Belated Independence Day to my home away from home, United States of America. Many of my thoughts were written last year during this day, but I do hope that there are better things to come for you (America).

So much is going on. As we speak Neeraj is @ Lilavati Hospital in Bandra. He needed to reach @ 7.30 am this Wednesday morning, as he has to have a full medical checkup for his K1 visa interview. He won’t be done with the checkup until around noon. Sab aache se ho jaaye aur mere Neeraj ko koi takleef nahi ho.

I have been waiting for this project to start that is very near my home, but it has been delayed for three more weeks. Now they want to send me to Texas for three weeks for another project starting Monday, so I might be there starting next week. I wanted to find out more information whether the project will get extended further, which will cause me problems. We will see what happens in the next few days…

Neeraj starts his traveling on Sunday. He is taking a flight to Delhi, take a train to Lucknow, and reach around midnight. Then he will stay in a hotel that night and wake up Monday morning head to Lucknow’s Passport Office. His friend, Gaurav, hopefully should come from Kanpur with Neeraj’s police certificate otherwise he shall have to go to Kanpur later that evening and return to Lucknow that night. Then next morning he shall receive his passport and certificate from the passport office. Now what is next?

Well, he might be heading home on Tuesday evening, taking a train to Hindaun from Lucknow (right now he’s waitlisted) reaching Wednesday morning. Reason? His birth certificate has some issues that his bhayia has not been able to correct yet with the magistrate, so Neeraj will have to go himself. If all goes well then he will leave Thursday evening via train (also waitlisted) from Hindaun for Mumbai. With all the rains in Gujrat, you know that his train won’t reach on time on Friday afternoon.

Once he reaches Friday, he will have to go to the notary place in Mumbai and get his birth certificate and the other document notarized and translated in English (they have to be in the local language, hence it will be in Hindi by the magistrate).

Then one last weekend to get everything ready, and then the week after it will be time for his interview.

Praying that all goes well on my side as well as his. I didn’t want to travel right now but I guess it will be fine until Neeraj is here.

so much to do for Neeraj in such a short period… hope everything goes well for him and u, as planned…

All The very best to U Poonam and Neeraj, may god always be with you and somewhere more importantly many Indian Government services help you without causing further tension. I can only imagine that it can be so frustrating but as they say, everything good in life comes with a price, else it is really not worth it. Anyway all the very very best and keep the spirit high

BTW, I will give you some tips for the interview. My bhabhi had to go through exactly same interview.

Thanks Prasad. He does have alot of traveling in the next few days. Everything hopefully will go well without any roadblocks. I wasn’t excited abt. traveling @ all but hopefully this will be my last time before Neeraj comes.

Thanks so much Mallika for the encouraging words. I really do hope that Neeraj doesn’t face any more issues with the Indian gov’t. The only thing that might cause him any trouble is the Lucknow Passport Office, but even there we are pretty sure it will work out.

In a way it is good Kunal, that is true. My big issue was that my project shouldn’t get extended. Now that I have found out that isn’t going to happen then I am fine.

Neeraj ko bahut hi jaada travel karna hai half the India to cover hi kar raha hai woh 5 days mein .. and then Government offices mein jaa ke uska to Jeevan hi safal ho jayega.. wahan par saare babu logon se milke… Yaar Neeraj ko sahi mein bahut kaam karna hai .. Mere ko idea nahi tha ke itna kaam hoga.. udhar Neeraj saara ghoom raha hoga and idhar thakaan Poonam ko ho rahi hogi .. bhagwaan kare sab good ho jaye..

Haan sahi hai Manish. Bahut kuch karna padta hai. Its just crazy. But one of the things that was harder for us is that Neeraj has been in different cities for more than six months hence he has to get police certificates from all of those different cities. Isliya kuch jyaada ho gaya hai uske liye. Bechara. But he is strong aur sab aache se hoga. Thanks for the nice words.
