Ring Ring, I groggily checked the caller ID of my mobile. Its 91-something, oh a call from India. Without really thinking twice about it, I picked up the phone thinking that it must be Neeraj who is calling. 
As I heard the other person on the other line, I was shocked. 
Koi ladki??? 
Who is calling me at 6 am in the morning from India??
Then I hear:
Badi Bhabhi Namaste!
My eyes just popped open. Only then to ask, Lakshmi tum? With the response ke Haan main. My nanad, whose engagement news we are hoping to hear about soon enough 
, was calling me for the first time on my mobile. 
I have talked and met her a few times now, and it was fabulous talking to her on the phone. It seriously made my morning. She was asking me to come to her wedding, and I was like how can I come? Already the inter-caste and all is causing so issues, there is no way that I can come, but she said that she will talk to my sasurji, and it will be fine. She definitely made my morning and brought a big smile to my face.
Since I was very young, I wanted to be just like Papa. I wanted to write like Papa, talk in Gujrati like Papa, eat like Papa, and be smart like Papa.
I am definitely my daddy’s little girl and have more qualities of him than my Mumma. Papa has sacrificed alot for bhayia and myself since we were born. He has worked so hard and when we were young, we would hardly see him. 
When we moved to Morton, Papa got us involved in sports and would never miss a game.
Nothing could happen for us without Papa. He was the only one that could drive when we were young, and also our income. Mumma didn’t work nor did she drive, so without Papa, we would be nowhere. Even today, Papa works so hard in everything he does and strives to keep all of us happy. Papa you are the very best, and I love you very much:!:

I was just really glad that she surprised me by calling Mannat.
We haven’t talked since I saw her six months ago in Jaipur, and it was just great that she took the initiative to give me a call. 
I told her that I will now surprise her by calling her.

We celebrated Papa‘s bday over the weekend as his job requires him to be in Springfield. So Mumma and him are over there right now, spoke to them on the phone which was nice.

I am doing just fine Vivek, and how are you? Yup, I have found that you can look on Train Enquiry to check out any trains in India which is a nice facility. Usually Neeraj calls me once he reaches his destination, but he had not that day, so I was worried, so was checking online and noticed that his train was 3 hrs. late.
Anyway, its a nice facility to have, especially for ppl who are thousands of miles away and are worried abt. their loved ones.
