Aaj Ke Samachar Hindi Main

Posted on November 20th, 2005 by Poonam

Note: Sometimes I get into this moods that I want to post in Hindi, today is one of those days.

Bahut saari baatein meri dimaag main ghoom rahi hai par pehle kaam ki baatein karte hain. Kal hum log (Mumma, Bhayia, Neeraj, aur main) wapas Devon gaye the. Wahan meri bua aur meri cousin hum log ko milne wale the kyon ke mera lehnga pasand karna tha saigai ke liye. 2 baje ke aas paas pahunche aur phir pehli dukaan main gaye aur mazza nahi aaya. Kuch bhi aacha nahi tha aur kaam karne wale bhi itna interest nahi dikhaa rahe the. 5 saal pehle bhi maine Devon se ek mast sa lehnga liya tha, toh phir woh wali dukaan main gaye, Sahil.

Aaise theek tak lehngas pehle woh aurat ne dikhaya. Phir usko kaha ke kuch hatke se dikhaao aur kuch gold main yaa phir silver main. Toh uske paas woh colors main kuch bhi aacha nahi tha. Jab tayyar ho rahe the ke chalo koi aur dukaan main jaate hain, toh phir usne ek sundar sa lehnga dikhaaya. Bhaari sa tha, green aur blueish shades main, aur aachi embroidery ki hui thi. Sab ko pasand aaya, Neeraj ko bhi, toh phir price ki baatein ki.

Tag par $899 likha tha par woh jo kaam kar rahi thi usne seedha usko $525 kar diya. Humein phir manna kiya ke nahi $300 main hum log ko chaiye, yehi budget hai. Phir kah rahi thi ke main isse jyaada kamm nahi kar sakti hoon toh phir kaha ke dekho hum pehle bhi pasand karke gaye hain aur dubara bhi aayenge, etc… jo aam baatein hoti hai woh boli. Phir apna boss ko bulaaya aur usne pehle $450 kaha but phir bahut bolne ke baad $350 tak aa gaya. Bahut sochne ke baad ke laga ke itna hi unka margin tha toh shayad $250 bolna chaiye tha. Khair agli baar yeh baat yaad rakhenge.

Phir maine try kiya fitting room aur thoda bahut fitting ka issue tha. Woh log ke paas tailor tha toh usne kaha ke 15-20 minutes main theek tak karke deh doonga. Toh meri dress ka kaam ho gaya:!:

Neeraj aur maine Nonstop Dance Songs ki Excel spreadsheet banaayi hai aur ab hum log MixMeister Express 6 software isthmaal kar rahe hain (aakhir main usko khareedna hi pada  ) aur usse hum saare gaane mix kar rahe hain (DJ work on the side  ). Abhi ek gaanta worth of gaane humne mix kar diya hai par abhi toh ek dhed gaanta toh aur karna hi hai.

Neeraj ko hair cutting ke liye bhi jaana hai aaj, kaafi dino se kah raha hai. Dekhte hain kahan par jaate hain. Aur aaj kal toh woh akela hi drive karne lag gaya hai. Mere ko lagta hai usko kaafi masti aa rahi hai driving main.

Aur toh sab bindaas. Wednesday maine off liya hai aur phir Thursday and Friday toh waise bhi off hai for Thanksgiving. Is hafte toh sirf do din hi kaam karna hai. Tuesday bhi main jaldi hi aa jaaongi job se.

Bas thode din baaki hai…aur karna bahut kuch hai, hopefully kal chance mila toh jarur post karongi.

Kal baat karenge ke bloggers main se koi aa bhi raha hai ke nahi — umeed sirf ek hi aadmi ka hai abhi tak — mere ko maloom hai ke woh niraash nahi karega Neeraj aur mere ko.

Alvida. Jai Mata Di.

Hiii how are you ? It has been a while since last time I came here … miss the blog very much  I was very busy with work then I took a long holiday and when I was back in the office, the work is like a hell again :duh: I feel like I want to run away

I was reading the previous postings, that’s great that everything is under control and going smoothly :hyper: I always watch Hindi movies and saw the clothes that usually the guys wear during the wedding, is it called Sherwani ? I love that clothes ! When guys wear those clothes, they are looked cool

I remember few movies where Abhishek actually wears it … and oh my gosh, he can’t be more gorgeous

    have a nice time….

  8. mannat Says:

Hindi?? It took me 10 minutes to read through the post:(
Wow..so the engagement dress is here. But that sure was a good bargain. I didn’t know u could bargain that much at Saahil. U better get your wedding shopping done from India. It’s cheaper (comparatively) and u get a whole lot of variety.
Anyways..hope u have a wonderful day on your engagement.

  11. Jaya Says:

    Hiii Poonam,

My first post to you, :hyper: Enjoyed reading all ur posts, but this one was quite difficult, didnt understand anything  but was fun to see all the face icons

Good Good Wishes to u both

  12. Neeraj Says:
Well, all of you who had a hard time to read the post, they all need to work on their Hindi. Ek Hindustani ke liye fluency in Hindi is MUST as per my opinion. This was one of the good qualities I found in Poonam and that impressed me like anything , living in the US and knowing so good hindi, amazing.
  13. Ankur Raheja Says:

    Right Neeraj :)

  14. Prasad Says:

    sahi bola Neeraj :)

  15. mannat Says:

Neeraj…I don’t think it’s really because we r bad in speaking/reading or writing in hindi. I think u always have a tough time reading a language written in some other language’s script. If this post for written using hindi script, it would have been a piece of cake. But since it was written in english script, it was a bit tough to get through. I think if u write english using hindi script, it would be the same case.

  16. urvish Says:

kya hume aane ki ijaazat hai..??

  17. Poonam Says:
I don’t agree with you at all Mannat. Hindi makes perfectly good sense written in this script. If it didn’t, you wouldn’t see it used so often. These days in Mumbai you can see the big advertisement posters for Pepsi or Coke or whatever else written their Hindi slogan in English script.

Neeraj and I would always converse in email when we were far apart or even on instant messenger and always write in Hindi.

So I totally agree with him — this shouldn’t have been that tough to read. Now if you don’t use Hindi on a regular basis, that’s another thing (for those whose first language isn’t Hindi).

  18. mannat Says:

Poonam the ads r like one or 2 sentences. And that is used only because it is in India where hindi is main language and they want to target all the ppl and they want their USP to become a catch line with max. # of ppl.
And maybe for u it is easy coz’ like u said u r used to writing long emails in hindi (using english script). So again, I don’t think for ppl who had tough time reading this post, ther r any less proficient in hindi than those who read through the post quickly. Now when I say “tough time” it does not literally means that it took 20-30 mins to read these few lines. It’s just that it did not flow as finely as it would have had it been in english.
Anyways, let’t not take this post to a different direction. Keep the spirit of celebration alive in here:grin:

  19. Jaya Says:

    Hii,

I agree, being Indians, we should know our mother tongue,I do feel ashamed, when I am unable to converse with my fellow Indians here in Hindi.

As for my case, back in school, we had an option to take either French or Hindi.I took French, as it was easy to score and learn and continued with it…which is why my Hindi is so pathetic.

Now, I am taking serious efforts to improve it.

  20. Poonam Says:
Good to see you after a long time Mona. Was wondering where you had disappeared to. But its good to see your comment. Yup it is sherwani. I have told Neeraj that he needs to wear it at the marriage.

That was expected from you Kunal.

Thanks DJ. Time khota nahi hota hai jab blog ki baat hoti hai.

No rehearsal Prasad, but we are going to go on Friday night to make sure that everything is setup for Saturday. But no formal rehearsal.

It would have been nice if you could have come Indu. But I can understand that there is lots going on your end as well. Impressive abt. the Hindi — aaise hi hona chaiye.

Thanks Ankur for the good wishes. Read my comment to Kunal, that applies to you too.

Nice to see your comment Jaya. Keep commenting and don’t worry about the Hindi. I also know French too, but I do hope that you do take the time to learn Hindi. If you keep visiting our blog, you will definitely learn Hindi –Neeraj and I use it constantly.
