Post Break from Engagement
I have to take a break from writing about the engagement because between yesterday and today lots has happened.
I got home pretty early yesterday from work at around 5.20 pm. Bhayia usually gets home at 5.30-5.45 pm from his office. Neeraj and I got home, and he was very hungry, so I began to get khana ready. It was past 6.15 pm, and we didn’t hear from Bhayia as of yet. Then the phone rang, and it was him only. 
He asked me if I was at home, and I said yes, and he’s like well I was just in a car accident. 
I was just terrified. I asked him if he was ok, and he said yes I am fine. In actuality a deer ran into his car on the highway and shattered his driver side window. Not only that but the left side of the car was totally damaged.
I told him that Neeraj and I are just coming, don’t worry. Bhayia said that he had called 911 (emergency) and the police were coming. Do you know that we had our first snowstorm too yesterday?? 
It was sooo cold, so much wind, and my poor Bhayia had to sit in his car with no window.
Just imagine if the window shattered, he must have had glass over him. I was so scared; never have I been so worried for my Bhayia. I drove with Neeraj, and once we reached the shoulder on the highway right behind his car, we both got out and tried to get Bhayia out. But his door was jammed. I told him to get into my car where it was warm, so he went over to the passenger side door and got out. Then we sat in my car until the police came, almost 20 minutes later.
Then they checked to see if they could find the deer, and they wrote up a report. They asked us if we wanted to tow the car or if we wanted to drive it our home. With all the wind, I didn’t want to risk my Bhayia’s health. So we asked to have it towed and waited for the tow truck for another 30 minutes. 
Finally they came, put the car on the flatbed truck, and then they followed us to our home.
Its a good thing that Bhayia is fine. Our insurance company is going to pay for everything, we will only have to pay our deductible, $250. So hopefully we will get the car back very soon. 
So it took us two hours from the time Neeraj and I left to the time of getting back with the towing company to our home.
The other news we have is Neeraj’s EAD (employment authorization) and his Advance Parole (card to go back to India) have been approved!!!!! Now he is able to get into a job ASAP. 
We are very excited about this!!!

phew! good to hear your bhaiya was safe! I have been almost hit by a deer once at night too! sigh! kya karen! in india its cats and dogs and cows over here its deers ..but chalo atleast tumhaare bhaiya ko kuch nahi hua..eveyrthing else is secondary
and yes congrats on Neerajs EAD…gosh I am listening to all these fancy requirements and all…mera number aayega tab i will need all the help :D take care all of you

hmmm…deer roaming around the roads is amusing! good that it was nothing beyond material damage…! snaps r good…but i felt thode dark aaye hain! congrats for Neeraj’s EAD!

and he able to look for jobs soon

Tere ko bhi hua tha deer ke saath..kya hua? Yup I am glad that he is fine…I was so worried when he had called. Arre tu tension mat le..jab tera turn aayega tab main hoon naa.. 
Yes Indu — absolutely right:!: It was sooo windy and cold. That’s why I felt so bad for Bhayia because who knows how long he had been sitting in his car, without his window.

Yup, atleast he’s fine that’s the best thing. These things happen so unexpected, sometimes you don’t know how to react.

Yup more pics are surely to come. It took me about an hour to get the red-eye out of these pics, compress them (because originally they are 1 mb + in size), and then upload them with text. 
So today I shall do some more of it.
