Hope that everyone had a very enjoyable Holi this year!
Neeraj and I had an enjoyable time as well spending our first Holi together. Last Saturday we had also went up to Chicago for my bridal shower, given by one of my cousins. That was also enjoyable with all of my chachis and buas also present. We played a few games (i.e. “how well I knew Neeraj”, “Bridal Bingo”, “Married Ladies: Who can wear a sari the quickest and look elegant”, etc…). It was nice to see everyone, and it was great to see that everyone was in the mood to participate in the games. Thanks to my dear cousin who organized the party for me!
Due to the fact that a bridal shower is for women only, the guys went out to a Games Mall (its called GamesWorks) and there you have all of these different types of virtual reality games, billiard tables, basketball courts, etc… So they enjoyed in that.
We didn’t stay the night as the next day my parents come home, so we left Chicago around 10 pm and got home after 1 am.
Then Neeraj went to his apartment, and I heard that he stayed up all night to watch the movie, Seven on DVD given by another cousin of mine.
Guys will be guys.
We made strides on wedding preparations this week as we are finalizing the invitations for my side. Almost all of the events are now finalized as well — so I am feeling much better about all of it.
Now ready to get the invitations so that I can start sending it out here in the US.
I am trying to take some time out to work on the blog — which will happen, hopefully today (if we leave on time from the office
). There is always more to do at home then at work.
My Mumma leaves in three weeks for India!!! She is trying to pack all of the bags, get shopping done, and get everything ready.
This weekend will be filled with shopping and packing for me too! I have to help Mumma as we are not packing for ourselves, but packing for all of the men (i.e. Papa and Bhaiya) as well.
I am not sure about what Neeraj has planned for his packing, but I need to help him as well.
The next couple of weeks are going to fly.
I am still keeping up with Indian Idol, which was interesting on Tuesday. I agree that Amey is a great singer and shouldn’t have been voted out — but there is no reason to protest.
Again, its a game (Amey said it very well himself, I was very impressed by his attitude
) and you have to remember that you have to live with the rules. I was totally baffled by the judges — was that staged or what? Outrageous the way they acted — I just didn’t agree with anything Sonu had to say. Its time for the Indian directors of these reality shows to realize one thing — if you don’t like the way the junta votes — get rid of public voting. Duh!
Alvida. Jai Mata Di.
apun pehle!!! Wow lots of things going on ….and true true..time will FLYYYYYYYY and before you know Neeraj and you will be married
aur sounds like your bridal shower was fun…i have never been to one! Packing for india is always hard…you pack everything and then you go the airport and they say bag ka wazan zyaada hai sigh! and work on your blog? kya? new template? pictures? waiting to see :)
Thanks for the events update… seem both had a great time :)
Really, Ameya reacted the best. Great attitude
But I think Judges acted this way, so that they can make public realize that they are not judging on the basis of Talent but place of origin and this was good, as we dont want another Qazi to win such a great competition ;)
seems u had a terrific week… hmm… guys will always be guys.. true! :) btw, Seven is a great movie… what did neeraj say abt tht? :D
I can see the counter once again.. this time for the marriage.. woowwww.. time flies.. absolutely.. :)
And abt the reality show, i have stopped watching Indian idol after the Saregamapa challenge.. cos i feel audience polling is not the right way to chose a talent.. see as ankur said, i don’t want to see another Debojit or Qazi when ppl like Himani and other worthy ppl r left out… anyway, its jus a game as u said.. :)
Haan masti aayi Kaush bridal shower main.
Is baar packing will be different because I can’t forget anything.. shaadi hai yaar..wot lag jaayegi if bhul gayi.
As for the blog, you will have to wait and see.
You are right Ankur, Amey had a great attitude. As for the issue with Qazi, Indian Idol should have changed some rules if they don’t want another Qazi episode. You can’t whine about it after the show has started, and your fav. person doesn’t get to go to the next round.
Neeraj loves those types of movies Prasad.
He really liked Seven and wants to see other movies like that. As we speak he is watching What Lies Beneath.
As you can see I am on the PC.
Can’t watch those type of movies.
As for Indian Idol, its fun to watch them sing but all the politics — they should leave behind.
Prasad u r very right… Debojit was also another shocker.
In the Top 5 contestants of SaReGaMaPa… he must have been at fifth position
Hemachandra, Vinit, and those two girls were definitely better than Debojit
Right Poonam:!: But Indian Idol has purchased the rights from “American Idol”, so matbe they don’t have flexibility to change the rules.
Now… Karunya is the best among the rest, but it won’t be a surprize, if he gets voted out in the next episode
