The first Sarkar movie was excellent. I was a bit disappointed with Sarkar Raj, but it is rare that a sequel can top the original.

You are right Manish. Ram Gopal Varma has just not been himself these days…his films are getting worse and worse.

You know Indu, I wouldn’t say it was a deliberate decision to leave Aish out, but you know like you mention, she really didn’t make a big impression on me. I was like, “eh ok, she’s there”. He role wasn’t really strong, and she definitely seem like a CEO of any company. At last I was thinking that she was coming on to Abhishek, and I was like, “Dude his wife died not too long ago”! Anyway, I can definitely see what you are saying about how similar it is to the Godfather.

:) we saw this here last week end..and this was our takeon it! He keeps getting inspired by The Godfather in one way or the other :) some subplots int his movie has some dose of the said movie..:)

also in ur talk, was it a deliberate decision to miss out on Aishwarya Rai? I just feel that they hyped too much about her performance in this movie when all she had to do was just walk besides Abhishek Bachchan! seriously, this one just walks away with anything and everything just coz she shoulders a pretty face!:)

Yeah, I agree with Manpreet, I think RGV thinks that everybody thinks like him and he is a bit khiskela. I guess this movie is hit in India, but just because of Bachchan family together in the movie. This movie is another bogie added to RGV’s train of failures.

RGV has lost it. I simply can’t digest the fact, how come a person who made Rangeela, Sarkar & Satya, can’t even make a decent film.

Nice to hear from you Manu. Its a drive for you guys to St. Charles so I can see why you would choose which ones to see. For us its not far at all, so going to see a movie that doesn’t meet our expectations can still be worthwhile. The theatre was packed as always. Thanks for the good wishes for the exam. Its tonight

Hey Poonam…you seem be blogging in full zor shor these days.
I didn’t watch this movie coz my brother & bhabhi called me to tell that it was not as good as the first one. So Aman & I saved ourselves the drive all the way to St. Charles.
Hope your mid-term went well, or if you still have to take it, good luck:)
