A very special Day in our life: Dec. 15

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

You might have already guessed why December 15 is so special for us. Yes, you are right :) , its my wife Poonam’s Birthday who owns this blog. Lets wish Poonam on her 25th Birthday!

Happy birthday to you !!
Happy birthday to you !!
Happy birthday to dear Poonam !!
Happy birthday to you !!

May God give you more happiness and success in your life than what you have now! There were times when I was used to write on the blog on Poonam’s B’day every year, at least once on the D day if not writing in the whole year, and I think I missed doing it last couple of times. But not going to miss THIS YEAR!! and I hope it should be a great start for writing on the blog now onwards more frequently OR should I say just ‘frequently’ with no ‘more’? as my current frequency is just tending to ‘zero’.

The next thing coming up in every one’s mind should be how we are celebrating Poonam’s B’day. Well, we reached Morton last night to celebrate it with her brother and for the first time, we had snow on Dec. 15 in last 3 years. It started today early morning and the snow accumulation has been about 4 inches as of yet and its supposed to have new snow accumulation of 2- 4 inches possible by tonight. We don’t have much choice to go out but we had a great and early start of the day with a phone call from Poonam’s parents who are in Bombay, India for last 15 days and would be coming back to the US tomorrow. They all, including Poonam’s Mamas(uncles), Mamis(aunts), and cousins, congraulated her on the D day. Poonam was really happy talking to them. Then we had lots of fun with shoveling snow on the driveway and playing baseball with snow balls. Poonam, Suraj, and I really enjoyed it, in fact we went out just to shovel snow which is always hard and nobody likes to do it specially on a working day when you are leaving for your office. But it was really awesome cool weather and it was too tempting to do all kiddish stuff :rotfl: . We started making snow balls and throwing it on each other just like small kids, and in the way when somebody sees snow for the first time. We played baseball like for an hour and enjoyed the time to the fullest.

We then came back inside and found so many missed calls on our cellphones. Most of them were from my side of the family. We called them up and all, my sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and my parents, wished Poonam on her b’day. We had a great time talking to them. Now we are planning to go out for dinner. I don’t know exactly which restaurant we are going to but surely somewhere not too far. Then we will have Poonam cut her cake and wish her again .
Did I not say any thing about her gifts  :?: Poonam, you know it as I bought your gifts together with no suprises  so you are going to have it. Period.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN Poonam!!!!! I hope that you are enjoying your day!!

Thanks Everyone for the Birthday Wishes!

Monday, January 15th, 2007

Thanks for the wishes:smile:. I had a great time with Poonam on my B’day. I was almost asleep when it was midnight of 11th and then Poonam just woke me up and sang me B’day song. I cut the cake and then got gifts from Poonam. She bought some books for me along with NFS (Need for Speed) Underground (a computer game) and some clothes.

Also, She gave me a surprise in the morning that I was not even able to think of. Normally we don’t do breakfast, but that morning she was ready with our breakfast right by our bed before I got up. That was so sweeettt!!

We went to watch Guru on the next day. It was good! Both of us really liked it. Well directed by Mani Ratnam!

Happy Birthday Poonam!

Thank you guys for wishing me on my new job. I am really enjoying my time these days. Bas yeh silsila aaise hee chalta rahe. Aamin!!

Dance practice is almost done and I hope we will rock on the stage. One bad thing happening is Poonam’s sickness. She caught cold and now she feels headache. Bas jaldi se changi ho jaaye. Yesterday I wrote a sher to Poonam and it goes like this:

“Iss kadar aarzoo hai teri mujhe, Poonam !
Ujhaalon se nikal andheron ko dhoondnta hoon main !!”

Get Well Soon Poonu!

I was looking at one of the posts which was posted by me on December 15,2004. Why?? because it is a very special day for me and last year on the same day I wrote to Poonam some thing special straight from my heart.
Once again this special day has come this year and I wish you a very Happy Birthday Poonam!!!. What could be better than this that I am here with you on this day and writing this post just sitting besides you.

Poonam remember those lines written on the post last year:

Poonam I wish kee hum jaldi se saath ho sake(forever). Really missing you a lot. But have a great time today, next time I will be with you for sure.

So here I am. This time I want to dedicate one of my favorite songs to you, my dear Poonam, and its so true for both of us :

We are Engaged - Part I!!

Sunday, November 27th, 2005

Hi all thanks for your good wishes. With your good wishes and blessings, our engagement ceremony went just wonderful. :hyper::smile:Everyone enjoyed the party to the fullest. I do not know if Poonam mentioned the name of the blogger who was able to come to the party. Manish and his friend celebrated with us. Poonam and I were really happy to see him and his friend. Pics will be uploaded very soon in couple of days. We do not want you all to wait for long:smile: and let us know how you find all the pics.

Happy 1st Birthday NP.com!

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

neerajpoonam.com has completed its one year on 24th June, 2005. Great achievement for us. Thanks for all of you who really devoted their valuable time in writing comments and telling their opinions on each and every post that we had in last one year. Especially, a terrific effort by Poonam.

Okay about the weather over here, its not that much rainy in last two days. The weather is really cool and pleasant but you can not go anywhere without an umbrella because rains can be there at any time. I really hope if I need not to travel much regarding the visa documents. Most of the Mumbai certificates are now settled, and I will go get my passport and PCC tomorrow at the post office near to my home.

Have you heard that Bangladesh has defeated Australia in last ODI? It’s just amazing, I have read ball by ball commentary on cricinfo.com, B’s played really wonderful. Besides this, in all rest of the matches Bangladesh looked quite competitive. That’s really good otherwise Australia was dominating in cricket like any thing in past 2-3 years but recently they lost 4 consecutive matches. I am sure Ricky Ponting, the captain, would have been scared of that since last two captains were dismissed because of the poor performance(based on result) of the team.

I am going to be there for the OBM. The time was clearly mentioned as 7 PM IST(Indian Standard Time) by Poonam so I hope there is no more confusion among all of us. See all of you there!

Novel, Match, and Much Much More

Sunday, April 10th, 2005

After a long time, I am finally posting today. Lots of things have happened in the past two weeks including good news.

Here are some news from my side.

As Poonam was enjoying with her parents, I was busy reading a novel by Dan Brown called The Digital Fortress. It was so interesting, that I could not resist myself from reading so I finished the book in a span of five days. There were over 140 chapters and over 360 pages. I was very impressed with Poonam’s choice as she had given me the novel when she had come to India in December 2004. The novel is a techno-thriller about National Security Agents (NSA) in USA, and they came across a mysterious code as an unbreakable algorithm but later on they find out it is a serious virus in their invincible code breaking machine. Its a great book from the same author who wrote The Da Vinci Code, and I highly recommended everyone to read The Digital Fortress. Feedback about The Da Vinci Code will be given by Poonam as she is currently reading that novel.

India vs. Pakistan. It was a very good if I would have written by post last week only as India had won the match. Today, I am writing the post and India has lost badly. The performance by the Indians was very disappointing, and I felt that they were not able to play with their mind because they didn’t understand what the situation is demanding. They lost their wickets so early and so the match was gone out of their hands. The Indian batting lineup is really experienced, but they had played like newcomers to the game. I was not impressed at all with the Pakistani bowlers, though it was decent. The majority of the mistakes were made by the Indian team. :grumpy: Anyway, let’s move forward with the series. I have a bet with my TL (team leader) and I am favoring India’s win so now the competition is getting really tough. Talent is not the issue with the Indian team, its that they don’t play with their minds so let’s hope that there is improvement in the next match!

At my work, now these days I do not have too much work. Right now working on one enhancement request given by the client and I have more than enough time to complete it. But this phase is just transient and I guess in June I will be having lots of work again. Well I don’t have any problem with too much work but this time I worry about it because in next two months I do have many other things in my to-do list such as taking a driving couple, visa’s stuff, preparation for GMAT etc.

I am going to start learning driving in the last week of April, will take a training school nearby in Hiranandani.

Thanks for all your suggestions regarding the books and study material for GMAT. I had a glimpse on KAPLAN’s book, it seemed to be good and after listening to all of you, I am going to take it for me and Poonam.

I am eagerly waiting for the call of my visa. I have already gone for police clearance ceritificate (near CST station here in Mumbai) and am about to prepare a list of all the documents to be ready by the time.

I hope time should go faster than ever before because of so many things I have to aim at doing in the next few weeks.

Lastly Poonam and I would like to wish Mona as her birthday is on 11th April. Wishing you a day filled with lots of happiness and joy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mona!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Mona!
