Today is a day of good news! We received a letter from the USCIS, and Neeraj’s Green Card status has been automaticaly extended for one year. Neeraj will still have to go for a biometrics appointment, but atleast for the next one year he will have no troubles traveling and working. So now Europe here we come!
Also Kaush’s B has reached the USA safely…. congrats to the both of them on the new chapter in their life. May your life be always filled with happiness and love for each other. NP.com is very happy for you both.
Every day passes with a smile…..2 years have completed so quickly, I can hardly believe it. I love this day so much because there are so many great memories that joined with it. It is the day that Neeraj and I got married in Jaipur, then last year a day that we spent with Neeraj’s parents here in the USA, and this year a day that we will spend with my parents, Suraj, and friends.
Prior to getting married, Neeraj and my conversations always were around, “Hum log ko yeh karna hai….woh karna hai“. “We will do this after getting married, we will do that….” Its amazing how much we have done in the past two years….just like we had planned.
Neeraj, you are the most important person in my life today. You have always been there for me when I needed a suggestion, idea, thought, and you have always come through to solve my problem. You care so much about what I want, what should we do, what would be best for our life. I know that i try to do the same, but there is so much that I want to learn from you. May Mata Rani shower us with blessings on this special day.
I love you very much. Wishing you a very Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!
If in case you have not heard, there were about 8 blasts in Jaipur yesterday evening Indian Standard Time.
Neeraj’s immediate brother (Manoj Bhaiya) and sister-in-law (Maya Bhabhi) live in Jaipur. When I heard the news at 10.45am yesterday after a voicemail from my mother, I called Neeraj to make sure he knew. He did, and he was already calling his eldest brother in Hindaun City to make sure Manoj Bhaiya and Maya Bhabhi are fine. The mobile phone line was cut off after the bomb blasts happened, so it was after an hour or so when we finally heard back.
The majority of Neeraj’s extended family also live in Jaipur. This also includes his eldest sister-in-law’s (Renu Bhabhi) family. They live & work in Chandhpol where one of the blasts occurred. They were also all fine.
My friends that went with me to India for Neeraj and my marriage may remember atleast one of the places quite well - Bapu Bazaar. They had the opportunity during that time to go around Jaipur with my family members, including Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar.
Very tough time for the South Asian countries. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families that have lost a loved one in this horrific blast. The blasts did happen on bicycles and so far 12 have been detained that may be linked with the blasts.
Such things are awful when they happen - and we pray that we have peace on earth very soon.
It was a wonderful weekend due to one person: Mumma. It was a special weekend for our family because it was my dear mother’s birthday and mother’s day. So today’s post dedicated to NP’s dear mothers.
My dear mother is the sweetest and most caring person that I know. She has done so much for Suraj and myself, and now for Neeraj as well. She is that pillar in our family which without we would not be able to stand. Mumma does everything, sacrificing her own happiness, for whatever we want.
My dear mother does every little thing with a smile. She says the most wonderful things that make anyone smile. She talks to anyone that comes in her way, and she makes a new friend every time. There are so many of Suraj and my friends that call her mother, didi, or aunty so lovingly for all the love that she gives everything she chats with them.
My dear mother is a great cook - she could have had her own show. She keeps her own house so organized and clean; I have so much to learn from her. She lightens the home, she makes me smile every time I see her, and I miss her dearly when I have to leave to go to my home. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t talk to her…..she is my idol - my role model, who I try to mimic….but its tough to be that wonderful.
So Mumma, Neeraj and I wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! We also wish you a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!! Also a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to Neeraj’s Mumma!!! We hope that we can give you both a lifetime worth of happiness.
Another year older, another year wiser. Yes, that’s my dear Neeraj. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Neeraj!!!!. Wishing life long happiness. May Mata Rani give you all that you wish for on this special day. May your day be more special than you!
We have started your birthday with celebrations with cutting the cake at midnight, talking to all of your brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, Mumma, and Papa. You have opened two of your gifts, and one gift now remains. I look forward to this day because you were brought into this world and be part of my life. I love you so much!
Many people don’t know this, those close to us do, that Neeraj never wants anything. He is the toughest person to buy a gift for because when you ask him what you desire to have, he says nothing. But its our hearts that want to give him something which he will want and like because he deserves it.
Enjoy this day to the fullest my dear, and I know that we will. Each birthday we have grown more and more closer, and I know that this will continue. You are my love and sweetheart - and I wish only the best for you. I know that Mata Rani is looking down and smiling at you for all the good things that you do for everyone around you. Now on this special day, you will do all that you want to do, its your day.
You might have already guessed why December 15 is so special for us. Yes, you are right , its my wife Poonam’s Birthday who owns this blog. Lets wish Poonam on her 25th Birthday!
Happy birthday to you !!
Happy birthday to you !!
Happy birthday to dear Poonam !!
Happy birthday to you !!
May God give you more happiness and success in your life than what you have now! There were times when I was used to write on the blog on Poonam’s B’day every year, at least once on the D day if not writing in the whole year, and I think I missed doing it last couple of times. But not going to miss THIS YEAR!! and I hope it should be a great start for writing on the blog now onwards more frequently OR should I say just ‘frequently’ with no ‘more’? as my current frequency is just tending to ‘zero’.
The next thing coming up in every one’s mind should be how we are celebrating Poonam’s B’day. Well, we reached Morton last night to celebrate it with her brother and for the first time, we had snow on Dec. 15 in last 3 years. It started today early morning and the snow accumulation has been about 4 inches as of yet and its supposed to have new snow accumulation of 2- 4 inches possible by tonight. We don’t have much choice to go out but we had a great and early start of the day with a phone call from Poonam’s parents who are in Bombay, India for last 15 days and would be coming back to the US tomorrow. They all, including Poonam’s Mamas(uncles), Mamis(aunts), and cousins, congraulated her on the D day. Poonam was really happy talking to them. Then we had lots of fun with shoveling snow on the driveway and playing baseball with snow balls. Poonam, Suraj, and I really enjoyed it, in fact we went out just to shovel snow which is always hard and nobody likes to do it specially on a working day when you are leaving for your office. But it was really awesome cool weather and it was too tempting to do all kiddish stuff . We started making snow balls and throwing it on each other just like small kids, and in the way when somebody sees snow for the first time. We played baseball like for an hour and enjoyed the time to the fullest.
We then came back inside and found so many missed calls on our cellphones. Most of them were from my side of the family. We called them up and all, my sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and my parents, wished Poonam on her b’day. We had a great time talking to them. Now we are planning to go out for dinner. I don’t know exactly which restaurant we are going to but surely somewhere not too far. Then we will have Poonam cut her cake and wish her again .
Did I not say any thing about her gifts Poonam, you know it as I bought your gifts together with no suprises so you are going to have it. Period.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN Poonam!!!!! I hope that you are enjoying your day!!
I can’t believe that the Thanksgiving break is almost here. I think Neeraj and I are both ready for it. Work has been really busy these days so it will be nice to have a break. I am glad for it being Saturday too. This is finally a day that we are not traveling anywhere, and we are just home to get stuff done. One of the things on my list was to write this post, so now I can mark it off.
So Om Shanti Om is playing at the multiplex here, but I don’t think Neeraj and I are going to go see it. Neither of us are really interested in the movie, I would have gone just to see that song, Deewangi Deewangi. No probs, we will watch it when it comes out on DVD.
The parents are going to India next week. I am glad that they are going because they will get to see everyone (especially nani and Funny Aunty), a visit a new place (Nepal), and even get my brother engaged! Brother engaged???? Nah, I am just kidding. I don’t think my parents would make a move so quickly and without letting Suraj meet her first.
With Thanksgiving around the corner, that means Black Friday is also here. I always look forward to it because of the deals. I did a quick check a few days ago on what the deals might be on the Internet, but I am going to have go into a bit more detail one of these days to decide if its worth it to go out that morning.
This is my first post from Neeraj’s iPhone and also from a car! We reached Vegas yesterday morning and now today saw the Hoover Dam. With that done, we are on our way to the Grand Canyon. So far it has been hot with the temps in the 100s, but very enjoyable!
