Current Tune - Pehli Nazar Main - Race

Every day passes with a smile…..2 years have completed so quickly, I can hardly believe it. I love this day so much because there are so many great memories that joined with it. It is the day that Neeraj and I got married in Jaipur, then last year a day that we spent with Neeraj’s parents here in the USA, and this year a day that we will spend with my parents, Suraj, and friends.

Prior to getting married, Neeraj and my conversations always were around, “Hum log ko yeh karna hai….woh karna hai“. “We will do this after getting married, we will do that….” Its amazing how much we have done in the past two years….just like we had planned.

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Neeraj, you are the most important person in my life today. You have always been there for me when I needed a suggestion, idea, thought, and you have always come through to solve my problem. You care so much about what I want, what should we do, what would be best for our life. I know that i try to do the same, but there is so much that I want to learn from you. May Mata Rani shower us with blessings on this special day.

I love you very much. Wishing you a very Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!

Busy Week…Updates from the Past….

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Neeraj and I have a lot going on for this week……just like any other week. I am looking for a way to convert a powerpoint file (ppt) to dvd. I have a slideshow that Neeraj and I created of our wedding photos and music that we used behind it that I would like to convert into a DVD. But I am not able to do it using the Roxio DVD Creator software that I have. So if anybody has any suggestions that would be great.

I have to go to the mall this weekend. We will be in Morton this weekend for an engagement party, and we need to get a card to give them. It will be great seeing the family after two weeks.

Neeraj and I have to look at our stuff and what we need to get ready to go back to our MBA classes for the summer. Looking for books is one of the things on target…… :eyebrow:

Then there are always other stuff that come up that we need to complete so the week will hopefully just fly. I would like to update the blog to the latest and greatest Wordpress version, but that always get put on the backburner.

We are still looking for bedroom furniture too….we have given ourselves an April 18 deadline to buy it :!:

Good, Bad, and the Ugly

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

Here I am again after a long break. Every time I think that I will write more on my blog, those are the times that I write less. I am not sure why that happens. Oh wait, I know….. because job is too busy, because personal life is too busy, because life in general is too busy.

But I do come and visit you dear blog, and I think about you. So I will try to find more time to write to you.

Right now I have something to share with you: the good, the bad, and the ugly since the last time we chatted like this.

Happy Birthday Neeraj!!!

Current Tune: Yeh Ishq Hai - Jab We Met

Another year older, another year wiser. Yes, that’s my dear Neeraj. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Neeraj!!!!. Wishing life long happiness. May Mata Rani give you all that you wish for on this special day. May your day be more special than you!

We have started your birthday with celebrations with cutting the cake at midnight, talking to all of your brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, Mumma, and Papa. You have opened two of your gifts, and one gift now remains. I look forward to this day because you were brought into this world and be part of my life. I love you so much!

Many people don’t know this, those close to us do, that Neeraj never wants anything. He is the toughest person to buy a gift for because when you ask him what you desire to have, he says nothing. But its our hearts that want to give him something which he will want and like because he deserves it.

Enjoy this day to the fullest my dear, and I know that we will. Each birthday we have grown more and more closer, and I know that this will continue. You are my love and sweetheart - and I wish only the best for you. I know that Mata Rani is looking down and smiling at you for all the good things that you do for everyone around you. Now on this special day, you will do all that you want to do, its your day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEERAJ!!!!!

Go to Sleep, Charlie Brown

Another post. Yes. I am finally doing a bit better at keeping my blog up to date.

Whoo. What a day. :faint: Neeraj and I got to the office at 7.45am this morning, and we didn’t get home till 8.30pm!! This definitely has been one of the longest days I have ever worked in my entire life. But like I said in the previous post, the office is going to need me more for the next four or five months. It seems to be the same for Neeraj as well. Some wouldn’t even look @ a PC when they get home, and look at me. After 12 hours, I still don’t enough of this machine. :rotfl:

So did I tell you that we are doing a girls Secret Santa luncheon at the office? I have not created my wishlist for that yet. I need to get on that. Then of course we do our traditional Christmas exchange with Diane and Beth. Last year we added Daniel and Neeraj to the mix which was fun. This year we are a bit behind schedule (Beth - give me a date that we can get together  ) in planning this but hopefully by the end of the week it will be done.

There is a lot to do this weekend. One is that we need to go to the DMV (driver motor vehicle place) so that we can change the lienholder on our dear Sonu the Sonata. We recently had refinanced and in the state of Missouri, the owner holds on to their title (in Illinois the bank holds on to it). So because we have the title, we have to get the lienholder name registered with the state.

Second big thing is that we need to put some air in the back tire of JollyFace (Neon) and then put it in the garage. Oops - make room in the garage and then put Jollyface there.

Third - clean the house :!:

Fourth - go shopping. I am so in the mood to go shopping, its been ages since I have been to the mall.

Fifth - I would like to go see Aaja Nachle in the movie theatre. If that can’t happen then atleast rent a movie like Jab We Met or Bheja Fry, etc…

On top of it, Neeraj may have to go into the office on Saturday. I have just been informed by the Commander and Chief (aka Neeraj  ) that we are going to the office at 0700 hours (that would be 7am for those who don’t understand military time  ). Thank goodness we have a full stop at 4.30pm to go to class.

I watched parts of the CNN/YouTube Republican Presidential Debate tonight. Unfortunately none of these very “aged” candidates impressed me. I think the Republican Party needs to recruit some young ‘uns with new ideas. Gee whiz. :irked:

I guess I am good for now. Its only 9.41pm and Neeraj is asleep, and I am heading to bed too. As Beth would say, “We’re old!!” Sometimes I can feel it.

Black Friday, Final Paper, and Laree Choote

Monday, November 26th, 2007

This song is on the top of my playlist and on the repeat list. I love the music of this song and the lyrics. Go ahead and listen as you read this post. If it doesn’t want to make you get up and dance…. then I guess our taste of music isn’t the same.

Gaddar, Johnny?

Monday, November 5th, 2007

So after a long stride, I am back with a post. All of the days these days go by like one day, and I just don’t find the time. But my dear blog, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you - and in fact try to visit you every day in order to remind me that I need to come and write.

So Neeraj and I just finished watching Johnny Gaddar. For those who haven’t seen it…. go see it! Get it at your local Indian store or video store if you are in India. So many twists and turns, Neeraj and I didn’t know till the last scene on what will happen. Really it was a great movie - a movie that would never work in India. Anyway, there were some graphic scenes that could have done away which would have made the movie more enjoyable, but hence that is what actually ruins the movie. :eyebrow: So go find it and see it!

Now updates….in the world and our world too.

- Diwali is around the corner. I can’t wait to be with the family for this special occasion. Hopefully next year we will be home with Neeraj’s family to celebrate with them as well.

- Unbelievably well is how Neeraj and my midterm exams went for Accounting. Neeraj and I were thrilled that is over now.

- Backlog on the serials - mainly Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki so I am kind of watching that and writing this post now.

- Thanks to the technology of DVR that I am able to tape these shows and delete them once I am done.

- Rakhi Sawant is definitely a drame-baaz on Nach Baliye. :irked: She irks me big time on that show. Can’t believe Krushna-Kashmera are out after getting a 40 out of 40 score last time.

- Harshit is going to be the big winner in Star Voice of India. He deserves it.

- Neeraj and I hosted our first dinner party in our new home this weekend. This is the first time I made a huge dinner. What was on the menu? Well, there was paneer with mushrooms, aloo ki sabzi (sukhi - dry), yellow daal, rice, and parathas.

- It seems to be a big success! Thank goodness.

- Neeraj and I spent Sunday doing the lawn and gardening. :faint: You know you are a homeowner when you have to do the lawn work.

- Its getting cold outside…. :cold:

- But its better than being hot. :hot:

Chalo phir milenge… enough timepass for now.
